    Tunisiana MMS on Windows Mobile 6

    If you have windows mobile 6 smartphone, and you’re unfortunatly using Tunisiana like me, your device will not be certified to use Tunisiana’s MMS services… that’s what they said.

    Now, here is how to configure your WM6 smartphone to use Tunisiana’s MMS:

    1. go to Settings, and open Connections.
    2. go to GPRS and click on New.
    3. in the connects to field select The WAP Network.
    4. in Access Point fill in mms.tunisiana.com
    5. put Authentication Type on None.
    6. leave the remaining fields empty or set to zeros.
    7. now press Done and go back to the home screen.
    8. now press Start and go to Messaging.
    9. put the Cursor on MMS, and press Menu, select Settings.
    10. press again Menu and select MMSC Settings.
    11. press again Menu and select New.
    12. this is what to put in the fields:
    13. Name : Tunisiana MMS
    14. MMSC URL : http://mmsc.tunisiana.com
    15. WAP Gateway : 10.3.2.100
    16. Port : 80
    17. Connect via : The WAP Network
    18. MAX. sending size : 300K
    19. WAP version : WAP 2.0
    20. now press Done, three times.

    Send your MMS 🙂

    and remember Tunisiana does not have any Disaster Recovery scenario, does not employ people who knows what is an HTC and you are not using a Nokia (it’s your fault)…

      I’ve been having simalar issues contacting Tunisana however for GPRS internet. I haven’t been able to get internet going here on my Samsung blackjackII, even after unlocking the service, activating and entering the settings manually.

      * APN: internet.tunisana.com
      * User: internet
      * Pass: internet

      * Proxy:10.3.2.99 (if needed)
      * Port: 80 (if needed)

      Any idea on what I might be doing completely wrong?

    Tunisiana’s Ignorance, again !

    Well, after they made their horrible shit of mistake, they told to media that they will give people some kind of compensation, a bonus, a gift to thank them for their fidelity… we’re still waiting !

    they sent an sms, and they consider it as apologize… NO TUNISIANA, IT’S NOT ENOUGH !

    Tunisiana’s IT guys are really idiot !

    They told me that my HTC S710 does not support MMS….

    They even do not know what is HTC….

    Ok, usual people could ignore HTC, but not People that make part of the staff of Mobile Carrier provider… it’s intolerable.

    HTC is the company that holds the brand named Qtek, and Qtek is disapearing… Tunisiana’s people do not know this, and they just don’t want to know it.

    Who cares, we’re stupid enough to pay them !

      N’est stupide que la stupidité… De Forest Gump!!! You are in advance in your new earth, so you need to make an effort in order to leave in Tunisia… When you buy a 700 Euros handset, you should not use it to send an MMS using an operatoor having stupid IT guys!!!
      Hopefully, with your extreame intelligence you found the solution by your self!!!
      Just a question, how do you think that those stupid IT guys have done to make MMS working?? Probably thanks to your help 😉
      Heureusement que le ridicule ne tue jamais….

      The HTC S710 is a Windows Mobile Smartphone. He uses WM6 Standard which is widely spreaded now.

      Many Smatphone manufacturers offer free upgrade from WM5 to WM6 for their devices and there are 2 devices that are common in tunisia: the Samsung I600 and the HP Voice Messenger 514.

      I’m not the only one using a windows mobile smartphonen we’re at least 200 person, but i’m the only one that has the S710 😉

      see here for a list of all WM6 Standard smartphones.
